How to make home made banana bread?
I want to make some banana bread in a different way from the way I do. Something fun to eat but close to the way it is usely prepared.
INGREDIENTS
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.
What I do is melt some chocolate chips in a pot, when the bread is done and then drizzle the chocolate over the top.. It is soo good.
If you want it to be different you can also use a muffin tin in place of the loaf pan, you will have to keep a close eye on them though so they don’t burn.( Cooking time would be about 25 min. or so)
Making Bread without a bread maker?
So, I am at home and realize, hey, I really want to try making bread. I’ve only made banana bread in a pan and it came out great. I have no experience in regular bread making, so please be detailed about things I may need to know. (Like do I use a whole packet of yeast? or half?)
I want to make a different kind of bread made in a pan, in the oven. I do not want to buy a bread maker. I want to make two types of bread a Sweet Bread–like for breakfast and a bread for sandwiches (no white bread).
If you have any recipes for this, please post them for me to try! I will try one of your recipes tonight and my family will thank you!

Let me give you a really easy quick bread recipe.
Beer Bread
3 cups of self rising flour
1 can of beer
3 T of Honey or sugar
Mix it up really good, knead it a little and put it in a bread pan with 1/2 stick of melted butter over the top.
Bake at 375 for about 45 minutes or so.
Very good, and no it doesn’t really taste like beer.
